- INTRODUCTION:
The Yobe Islamic Centre (YIC) was established in 1992 with the main aim of promoting and strengthening the Islamic and Cultural values through the provision of high quality education for Muslims to develop their consciousness of their position as the vicegerent of Allah on earth and hence discharge this responsibility effectively. This will also contribute to the sound moral growth of the State in particular and the nation as well as humanity in general. It is established to offer education at the Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels. It also offers orientation services aimed at creating public awareness and enlightenment through conferences, seminars, workshops, symposium, lectures, refresher courses etc. tailored toward building bridges of understanding and inviting to the way of Allah (SWT). The educational institutions of the Centre seek to integrate Islamic and Western education, without necessarily compromising their Islamic identity so that students will have solid Islamic orientation in any field of specialization.
