Education Department

The Education Department is responsible for coordinating the formal educational programmes of the Centre providing a wide range of educational services to individuals and Muslim communities at the Nursery, Primary, Secondary and tertiary levels, outlining the syllabus and curriculum to provide both Islamic and Western Education effectively in conformity with th vision and mission of the centre, as well as other programmes like adult literacy programmes and continuing education services. Other areas are the creation of awareness of Islam, orient people in the Islamic way of life and mobilize them in the service of humanity through the organization of refresher courses and some functional educational programmes.

  1. Nursery School Unit:
    The Nursery School is a fully accredited early childhood and kinder garden Unit with the laid down standard of the National Policy on Education for children from age’s 4-6 years preparation for Primary Education. The main objective is to shape and mould their character in line with Islamic moral standard at the early part of their life.
  2. Primary School Unit:
    The Primary School offers creative and conducive environment for effective and efficient teaching and learning process for children of ages 6 years and above. In the Primary School, an atmosphere is created and fostered in which each child develops a positive attitude towards himself or herself and others in the community. Following the guidelines and standards set up by the National Policy on Education, Islamic Education forming an integral base for the curriculum to prepare the pupils for the Secondary level of education. Character training in accordance with the ethics of Islam is most essential at this stage of child development.
  3. Secondary School Unit:
    The main aim is to produce an integrated Muslim personality in congenial School environment within the Nigeria Educational System. This is designed to strengthen the moral fabric of the Muslim children by countering immorality, un-Islamic and corrupting influence within the society, especially at the onset of adolescence. The Centre undertakes approved courses in both sciences and humanities in addition to Arabic and Islamic Studies providing a balanced integrated curriculum. The School offers a six-year study programme, which prepares students for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and other similar examinations at this level.
  4. Tajweed School:
    The Tajweed School is established in order to strengthen the memorization of the Holy Qur'an in the best possible manner. The graduates of this school are to establish local Tajweed Schools in their areas. Plans have been made to affiliate the School with the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria so that certificates issued at the end of the course will be used by graduates to pursue further education.
  5. Refresher Courses:
    The Centre provides series of fresher courses for teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Preachers, Imams, intending Pilgrims etc. This is designed to improve the quality of teaching and the imparting of knowledge and skills to enhance the standard and quality of education as well as general practice of the Islamic religion.
  6. Youth Training Programmes:
    This training programme provides courses and training aimed at counteracting the bad and corrupting influences of our society on the young adults. This also provides character training, orientation and the building of good attitudes in our youth.
  7. Vocational Training Programme:
    The Centre organizes and conducts vocational training programmes in various fields for gainful self-employment of our youth. This will assist the Muslim youth to become more productive and creative human beings within the framework of their potentialities. It is envisaged that this will enable them to be economically secured, independent and productive members of the Community.
  8. Publications
    To organize the printing and publication of basic literature required in Schools, Da’awah activities and for general education within the society.
  9. Research Activities
    To coordinate and undertake deep study into the Tsangaya Schools, Islamiyya and Government established Schools with a view to making them function effectively in teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies.
  10. Organization of Competitions
    To coordinate Islamic education competitions that will encourage the pursuit and application of knowledge in various fields of Islamic education.
  11. Library Complex
    Development and upkeep of the Library complex,

    In order to assist students sitting or re-sitting for SSCE papers and other examinations, remedial lessons would be organized from time to time
